 The 1957 West Limestone Wildcats were chosen Class A State Champions by the Birmingham News from District 4.
 

 
 

The Wildcats started their season early to allow students to help in the gathering of crops. They began play in early August and finished September 27 with a perfect 8-0 record. The Wildcats were led on offense by Jimmy Moose Thomas, a junior fullback, with more than 1,000 yards rushing and 19 touchdowns.
